Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softene
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Crushed Oreos About 10 cookies, crushed
  • 12-16 whole Oreo cookies (for stuffing) Whole Oreos for stuffing inside the dough

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
  • Gently fold in the crushed Oreos until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • For an extra surprise, wrap a small amount of dough around each whole Oreo cookie and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges but still soft in the center.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Chilling the dough for a minimum of thirty minutes before wrapping it around Oreos is advised. It helps maintain the texture and stops the cookies from spreading excessively. Cold butter allows the cookies to retain their shape & prevents them from flattening too much during baking. Bake the cookies until the edges turn golden brown, but the center remains soft. This achieves the perfect chewy texture. Avoid overbaking. For a richer flavor, consider using double-stuffed Oreos. It provides a creamier, more indulgent filling.
